Flags Flying Half-Staff for Patriot Day

Flags are flying half-staff today.

Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered all flags at half-staff in honor of Patriot Day and in memory of those who lost their lives in the September 11th terrorist attacks. This year marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11.

Nearly 3,000 innocent Americans and brave first responders lost their lives to the terrorist attacks against our nation on September 11th, 2001. Reynolds says on Patriots Day, we honor those victims and their families and reaffirm our pledge that we will never forget.

Flags will be at half-staff on the State Capitol Building and on flag displays in the Capitol Complex. Flags will also be at half-staff on all public buildings, grounds, and facilities throughout the state. Everyone else is encouraged to fly their flags at half-staff today from sunrise to sunset.
