KMCH SPORTS: Manchester couple wins Iowa Golf Association Championship

The 65th annual Iowa Golf Association Wife-Husband Championship took place this past weekend at the Sunnyside Golf & Country Club in Waterloo. Luke and Christi Imsland of Manchester competed in the event for the sixth year and came away with a first-place finish for the first time in the 3-day tournament. The couple finished at 4 under with a 140, winning by two strokes after an incredible comeback on Sunday as they were down 6 strokes with 9 holes to play.

 

Coverage Area High School Football Week 3:

Seven of our twelve teams were victors including – West Delaware, Maquoketa Valley, Ed-Co, Cascade, North Linn, Western Dubuque and Independence.

There are 63 unbeaten teams remaining in the state with 4 of them in our coverage area including – West Delaware, Ed-Co, North Linn and Independence.

Week 4 match-ups this Friday night, with the West Delaware and North Linn games being covered from KMCH Sports:

West Delaware hosts Dubuque Wahlert Catholic

North Linn has Columbus Community at home

Maquoketa Valley travels to Legrand to face East Marshall

Ed-Co heads to Jackson Junction to face Turkey Valley

Starmont is on the road at Guttenberg taking on Clayton Ridge

Western Dubuque takes the haul to Decorah

Cascade will entertain Lisbon

Monticello journeys South to West Branch

Beckman Catholic will be in Monona facing MFL-MarMac

Independence is at CP-U

Anamosa will be in Bellevue

East Buchanan will be in Stanwood playing North Cedar

WD Hawks Volleyball:

Class 3A #5 West Delaware went 2-2 at the Aplington-Parkersburg Invitational on Saturday. The Hawks fell to Wapsie Valley and A-P 2-0 after beating Roland-Story and Charles City 2-0.

The Hawks return to play Tuesday night when they travel to Mount Vernon for WaMaC East Division competition, all the coverage here from KMCH Sports around 7:30pm.
