One-on-One with U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley

KMCH News Director Janelle Tucker had an opportunity to visit with U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley on Monday.

During what’s been an unsettling week, Grassley says this past week marked a sad occasion with the assassination of Charlie Kirk – not only for the Kirk family, but for our country as a whole.

We also asked Senator Grassley about the TikTok agreement. On Monday, the U.S. and China reached a “framework” deal for social media platform TikTok, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent indicating the framework could pivot the platform to U.S.-controlled ownership.

In regards to his current work, Grassley says this week the U.S. Senate is changing the rules of the United States Senate.

And with Congresswoman Ashley Hinson formally kicking off her Senate run over the weekend, Grassley says he supports her – though he is choosing not to endorse anyone for U.S. Senate seat just yet.
