Thursday is the deadline to file to run in this year’s City and School elections – and there are some races that don’t have any candidate filings yet.
Delaware County Auditor Carla Becker said as of Tuesday, no one has filed to run yet for Mayor in Colesburg, Delaware, Delhi, Earlville and Ryan. There also currently aren’t enough candidates to fill the vacant council seats in Colesburg, Delaware, Delhi, Earlville, Edgewood, Greeley and Ryan.
If you’re wanting to run, city candidate paperwork must be filed with the Auditor’s Office. School board candidate paperwork must be filed with the school secretary.
Candidates may file their papers no later than 5 pm on Thursday.
The City and School elections will take place on Tuesday, November 4th.
