Manchester City Council to Review McDonald’s Proposed Site Plan

Tonight, the Manchester City Council will review a site plan for a proposed McDonalds in town.
The proposal is to build the fast food giant at 1201 West Main Street – just east of Subway on the west end of town. A new driveway that intersects with South 11th Street would be created to provide access to the location.
Permit Solutions has submitted a site plan for the proposed McDonald’s. The site plan and proposed project was reviewed by the City staff and the City’s Planning & Zoning Commission during their meeting last Thursday. There have been no requests for variances and the site plan complies with the City’s Code of Ordinances.
City Manager Tim Vick says the City Council will need to approve the site plan before McDonald’s would finalize the purchase of the land and begin construction of the building. Public comments can be given during a segment at the start of the meeting. Tonight’s Manchester City Council meeting begins at 5 pm in the Council chambers.
