Thomas Lynn Farr, 74, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 27, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, the son of June (Longerbeam) Farr. Tom was raised and educated in the Mount Vernon area graduating from Mount Vernon High School in 1969.
In 1984, Tom was united in marriage to Peggy Clegg in Nevada. They enjoyed their life together until Peggy’s passing in 2014. Tom lived his life in many states and worked as a carpenter. His later years were spent in Strawberry Point.
Tom very much enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and had several favorite fishing holes. Tom enjoyed grilling, video games, and his dogs and cats. He was always surrounded by one pet or more. Most of all Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his two sons, Thomas (Lisa) Farr of Strawberry Point and Christopher Farr of Huntsville, Texas; and his grandson, Travis (Jessica) Terrell.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Sam Kessler; and his wife, Peggy Farr.
