City Council Moves on Site Preparation for Proposed McDonald’s

The Manchester City Council voted to approve the site preparation made to properties on the west side of town in anticipation of McDonald’s coming to Manchester. At last night’s council meeting, the public was given the opportunity to discuss any concerns regarding the plans for the land, owned by Merit Development. The biggest concern coming out of that discussion concerned flooding mitigation. Jason Wenger of the Burrington Group talked about the approach they are taking to ensure proper drainage.
Wes Shulte is the owner of Merit Development. He spoke to the council about his investment into the project.
While the council did vote unanimously to approve the preparation, it should be noted that this does not guarantee that McDonald’s will arrive, but rather a step in the process for the fast food giant to continue with the purchase, along with the continued construction of other lot involved at this site.
