One person was killed and another injured in a collision in Jones County on Monday morning.
It happened shortly after 8 am on Highway 151 and South Circle Drive in Anamosa. The Iowa State Patrol says a car failed to yield the right of way to a pickup truck as it entered Highway 151 southbound from Circle Drive. The pickup struck the car on the driver’s side.
One person died at the scene. Another person was transported to Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa. Authorities did not indicate in their report which vehicle they were in.
Their names have not yet been released.
