A car / mini bike accident in Fayette County injured one. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident occurred yesterday afternoon just after 3pm near Wadena. 13-year old Rylee CHMELICEK was riding a mini bike eastbound on West Sacramento, when he failed to yield at a posted stop sign at the intersection of Sacramento and South MIll Street. He struck the vehicle driven by 68-year old Sandra Butikofer of Manchester. The injuries sustained by Chmelicek warranted an airlift to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Butikofer was not reported injured. No charges have been filed at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
