Delaware County Fair Board Announces Candidates

The Delaware County Fair Board will hold its annual elections next week – and this year’s candidates have been announced.
In this election year, several director positions are up for election:
- District 3 – North Fork, South Fork, Delhi and Union Township. No candidates have filed, so the fair board will appoint someone to fill that position.
- District 5 – City of Manchester. No candidates have filed, so the fair board will appoint someone to fill that position.
- At Large – two directors will be elected from five candidates. This year’s candidates are incumbents Josh Hellmann, Alan Kelchen, Rick Palmer and Levon Smith and newcomer Aaron Crane.
All Delaware County residents 18 and older, who share an interest in the Delaware County Fair, were invited to submit an application for candidacy with the Delaware County Fair Office prior to August 25th. The candidate must live in the township they represent on the day of the election or they may choose to run for an At Large position. Each director seat is filled for a three-year term.
The Delaware County Fair Board’s annual meeting will take place next Wednesday, October 8th at 8 pm at the Delaware County Community Center in Manchester. All Delaware County residents 18 and older are welcome to vote.
