Community Childcare of Manchester Hosting Cookout Fundraiser

Community Childcare of Manchester is hosting a cookout fundraiser during the lunch hour today at the Manchester Fareway parking lot.

Director Vicki Ries says it’s their first time for a cookout.

Community Childcare of Manchester has two locations. Carousel Center is located in what used to be the kindergarten building on East Howard Street and Storyland is located on Grant Street in the industrial park area. They serve around 75 kids throughout the day, with usually between 25 to 30 staff members employed by Community Childcare. Ries says there are a few areas the capital campaign will help with.

Community Childcare of Manchester board member Keri Tauke says they’ve got some other plans too.

Today’s Community Childcare of Manchester’s cookout will run from 11 to 1:30, featuring a pork loin sandwich lunch.

And if you don’t make it to lunch today, you can always help by contributing to the Round-Up campaign at the Manchester Fareway through next week.
