Manchester Woman Among Two Injured in Central City Collision

A Manchester woman was among two people injured in a collision in Central City on Saturday morning.

It happened at Highway 13 and Barber Street shortly after 11 am. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says a SUV was stopped at a red traffic construction light when a mini-van failed to stop at a clear distance and struck the SUV from behind.

The SUV driver, a minor female, was not hurt. One of the passengers in the SUV, 46-year old Ellen Clar of Manchester, was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the mini-van, 82-year old Donna Kinley of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, also suffered minor injuries and was transported to St. Luke’s.

Linn County Rescue, Central City Fire, and Center Point Ambulance assisted the Linn County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
