Delhi Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident

A Delhi motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run accident. 

It happened in Delaware County on 220th Avenue in the early morning hours of Friday, September 26th. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office released the accident report on Tuesday.

In the report, the Sheriff’s Office says 33-year old Blake Muller of Delhi was westbound on his motorcycle, attempting to make a right-hand turn onto 220th Avenue from 255th Street. An eastbound pickup truck failed to yield the right of way while attempting to turn left, causing Muller’s motorcycle to hit the side of the pickup. 

Muller was thrown from the bike. He suffered a minor injury and road rash. 

The pickup driver fled the scene of the accident. He was later identified as 62-year old Richard Hughes of Delhi. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says they have issued a warrant for Hughes’ arrest.
