Day one of the 2025 State Volleyball Tournament inside Xtream Arena in Coralville took place yesterday with Class 5A and 4A quarterfinals.
In 5A-
Two upsets occurred as the 5-seed Ankeny got by the 4-seed Dowling Catholic 3-2.
Sixth-seeded West Des Moines Valley took down Pleasant Valley 3-2.
Waukee Northwest shutout Indianola.
Ankeny Centennial blanked Iowa City West.
In 4A-
Top-seed Clear Creek-Amana swept Sergeant Bluff-Luton.
Marion fell to Sioux Center 3-1.
North Scott beat Dallas Center-Grimes3-1.
Pella defeated Norwalk 3-1.
