Marilyn Wycoff Clothing & Hygiene Closet Helping Manchester Community

A special “closet” in Manchester has been helping community members for around two decades now.
It’s called the Marilyn Wycoff Clothing and Hygiene Closet and it’s located in the lower level of Manchester Methodist Church. Volunteer Sandy Swanson tells us more:
Volunteer Uchenna Agwuncha recently helped start up the hygiene bank to address the community’s needs beyond clothing.
The Marilyn Wycoff Clothing and Hygiene Closet got a little bit of a financial boost as one of this year’s Foundation for the Future grant recipients. Foundation Director Amanda Diers says it’s exactly the kind of organization and mission that these grants were created to help.
The Clothing and Hygiene Closet received nearly two thousand dollars through the grant.
Community members in need can come and shop at the Marilyn Wycoff Clothing and Hygiene Closet. Hours are Monday evenings during the Second Helpings meal from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, Wednesdays from 10 am to 2 pm, and the first Thursday of the month from 8 to 10 am.
And donations are always welcome too, though the community’s needs vary.
If your organization has a similar mission of helping the community, you can apply for one of next year’s grants. You can find the application on the Foundation for the Future of Delaware County’s Facebook page or website.
