Search Begins for New Manchester City Manager

The search begins for a new city manager for Manchester.

Tim Vick’s letter of resignation was accepted by the Manchester City Council last week. Vick, who has served the City for 20 years, has been hired as the next city manager for Adel, Iowa. His last day in the office will be January 9th.

On Monday night, the Manchester City Council met for a special council meeting to discuss the process for replacing Vick. The Council has chosen to work with Bondurant-based Theia Management Consulting, a team with 101 years of cumulative Iowa local government experience that has collectively completed over 35 City Administrator/Manager searches in Iowa since 2013. The consulting fee, plus expenses, would not exceed $18,850.

The consulting firm’s timeline projects Manchester could select a new city manager by early March, with that selection beginning their new role by the end of April.
