West Delaware School District Earns High Performance Rating

The West Delaware School District has earned a High Performance rating.

The rating is for the district-level 2025 Iowa School Performance Profiles. The district earned an overall score of 74.7% – well above the state average of 63.28%.

The Iowa School Performance Profiles provide an online tool that evaluates all public schools and districts based on academic achievement, student growth, graduation rates, college and career readiness, and attendance. The 2025 update marks the first year the state has included district-level ratings, following the approval of a unified accountability system by the U.S. Department of Education earlier this year.

In September, the district also received building-level ratings of “High Performing” for West Delaware High School and Middle School, while Lambert Elementary received an “Acceptable” rating.

“The district-level Iowa School Performance Profile reflects our ongoing commitment to student learning, staff excellence, and continuous improvement,” said Superintendent Jen Vance. “We understand there are opportunities to grow, and we will continue addressing those areas while recognizing the successes achieved along the way as we build for the future.”
