Another Arrest in Manchester Police’s Operation Castle

Manchester Police have made another arrest as part of Operation Castle.
The police department says on Monday, 52-year old Michael Patrick Wiezorek of Nevada set up a meet with their undercover officer.
Police say over the past few weeks, Wiezorek groomed and sent illicit messages to the undercover officer, finally promoting to meet in person for sexual activity. Police say Wiezorak traveled from Nevada, Iowa, secured a hotel room and traveled to the meet-up location with the intent to have sexual activity with the minor.
Manchester officers cleansed the meet-up area and took Wiezorek into custody without any incident.
Manchester Police Chief Ben Davis says this marks more arrests being made in conjunction with the previous operation. In November, four men were arrested as part of Operation Castle’s online predator sting in Manchester. Officers are still evaluating cases and working towards more arrests.
Chief Davis says this continues to prove that under certain circumstances, predators still lurk online. Davis encourages everyone to mark your calendar for Thursday, January 22nd at 5 pm at the Manchester Public Library for an opportunity to learn about the dangers of your child’s online safety. He says this will be your opportunity to ask officers questions, see what they are seeing, and have an open dialog with your police department about this important issue.
