Two Injured in Linn County Collision

Two people were injured in a collision in Linn County on Thursday afternoon.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says a pickup driven by 33-year old Zachary LeGrand of Colesburg was traveling southbound on Highway 13 just north of Travis Road shortly before 12:45 pm. The Sheriff’s Office says LeGrand braked aggressively to avoid colliding with a slow-moving snowplow, which caused a SUV driven by 68-year old Richard Lovell of Prairieburg to rear-end LeGrand’s pickup.
LeGrand and Lovell were not hurt. Two passengers in Lovell’s SUV, 66-year old Theresa McNamara and 67-year old James McNamara, both of Prairieburg, were transported to Mercy Hospital with what authorities believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
