KMCH SPORTS: WD Hawks Girls Bowling qualifies for State Tournament

The Class 1A Girls Bowling State Qualifying Meet held in Manchester at The Alley yesterday was won by the host West Delaware. The Hawks placed first out of seven teams with a score of 2340, holding off Waukon who rolled a 2172. Natalie Palmer and Anne Dunkel qualified as individuals, finishing in the top four and two of thirty-two in 1A statewide. Palmer was the medalist with a 577 series as she returns to state for her third straight year, Dunkel was fourth with a 529 total. Also for the Hawks, Addisyn Kintzel placed 6th with a 476, 445 for Lilleyn Hogan, Kianna Johnson with a 416 and a 350 for Sadie Schnieders.
The Class 1A individual tournament will be held next Tuesday starting at 9am at the Cadillac Bowling Center in Waterloo. The team tournament will take place there next Thursday at 3pm.

Maquoketa Valley handled North Cedar 71-42
GIRLS-
#8 Maq. Valley thumped North Cedar 59-24
Tonight Regional Dual Wrestling takes the postseason stage with all semifinal duals beginning at 6pm followed by the regional championship dual at each site.
In 2A-
#4 West Delaware will face the winner of #16 Williamsburg and #23 West Liberty inside Seedorff Gymnasium at WDHS. All of our KMCH Sports Video Stream coverage will begin at 6pm with our on-air broadcast joining for the final dual with Jamie Vaske and Roger Reed.
#5 Independence entertains #12 Mount Vernon and #18 Wilton.
#22 Anamosa travels to Decorah to meet #14 North Fayette-Valley.

#13 North Linn hooks up with #24 South Central Calhoun at Don Bosco.
