Two people were injured in a crash near Central City on Friday night.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says emergency personnel were called to the 1900 block of Central City Road around 10:30 pm. A vehicle was traveling westbound when it left the road and went into the south ditch, then traveled through a yard where it came to rest behind a home.
The driver, 34-year old Brandi Pitcher of Hiawatha, and a passenger, 35-year old Amanda Diveney of Cedar Rapids, were both transported to a local hospital with what authorities believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation. The Sheriff’s Office says charges are pending against Pitcher.
