Good Neighbor Society Offering New Home-Delivered Meals Program

The Good Neighbor Society has started a new program, offering meals delivered to the homes of people in the community.
Katie Edgington took over the leadership role as CEO in early October after working years with The Meadows Assisted Living at the Good Neighbor Society – and shortly after, initiated a new program called the Neighbor’s Table Home-Delivered Meals Program.
Edgington says this is an outreach from the Good Neighbor Society to the community.
The Neighbor’s Table Home-Delivered Meals Program is individualized for each person.
Community members can request anywhere from five to fourteen meals a week.
The cost is ten dollars per meal, with those on the elderly waiver with Medicaid not needing to pay.
Edgington believes this program is important for the community to keep people independent and in their homes as long as possible as that is the goal for most people.
