Delaware County Conservation Hosting Winter Photo Contest

This Saturday is the deadline to share your entries in Delaware County Conservation’s winter photo contest.

Throughout this winter, Delaware County Conservation has encouraged photographers to capture the beauty of the season in the county’s public parks and wildlife areas with the “Discover Nature Winter Photo Contest” – and you’ve still got a couple days to enter if you haven’t already.

Photos must have been taken in any of Delaware County’s public parks or wildlife areas between December 1, 2025 and February 28, 2026. There are 28 Delaware County parks and wildlife areas, including Bailey’s Ford, Fountain Springs and Silver Lake Park – you can find the list online at delawarecounty.iowa.gov/conservation.

The contest is open to amateur photographers only and each person may submit up to five photos. Each entry must include the location where the photo was taken, as well as the photographer’s name, phone number, and email address. 

All entries should be emailed to dccbphotocontest@gmail.com. The entry deadline is Saturday at 4 pm. 

Keep in mind – by submitting an entry, the photo becomes the property of the Delaware County Conservation Department, which reserves the right to use entries in future promotional materials.

Prizes in the “Discover Nature Winter Photo Contest” will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
