Manchester City Council Meeting Recap

The Manchester City Council met Monday night.

The Council again discussed the Anderson Street Project, which will be taking place in two phases this year and next year. City council member and Mayor Pro-Tem Mary Ann Poynor explains:

The City Council approved the preliminary and final plat for a couple lots in the Oakview Estates Subdivision.

The City Council also decided to hold off on any potential redevelopment at the site of the old Lincoln School, which was demolished this past week. 

And there was the return of the City’s Nice Neighbor Award on Monday night. The award, started by former Mayor Milt Kramer, honors a resident or group of residents for being good to their neighbors and community. Mayor Connie Behnken presented the City’s Nice Neighbor Award to Clarence Slife for helping pick up trash while walking his dog, Roxie. Nominations for the Nice Neighbor Award are accepted year-round at Manchester City Hall.
