theStone Church Hosting Chili Cookoff Fundraiser

theStone Church in Manchester invites you to their Chili Cookoff tonight.

The Chili Cookoff takes place from 6 to 8 pm in the Iowa room on the upper level of theStone Church. Five dollars gets you a spoon to taste test up to fifteen varieties of chili and vote for your favorites. Youth Pastor Chad Robinson says they’ll have white chili, hot chili, mild chili, beef chili, pork chili – it’s up to the contestants as to what they’ll prepare. Sign-up has been limited to the first fifteen registered contestants.

And back by popular demand, tonight’s event will also include a silent auction featuring a collection of unique custom handcrafted woodworking items from the late David Raak. 

Tonight’s Chili Cookoff is a community outreach event to raise money for theStone’s youth ministry. Robinson says they’ll use the money that is raised to help kids go on a mission trip in June. The funds will also go towards scholarships for summer camps and other opportunities that come up that will help the kids strengthen their faith.
