March Weather Transitioning, Severe Threat Friday

March came in like a lamb earlier this week.

But State Climatologist Justin Glisten says as we move from winter to spring, the weather this time of year could bring just about anything.

Glisan says March could help improve some of the dry conditions across the state.

Glisan says there is some optimism that this March could be wetter than normal.

The first severe weather of the season is possible on Friday. The National Weather Service says there is a slight risk for storms in the morning, with hail and locally heavy rain the main threat. Another chance for severe storms exists Friday evening into the overnight, with all weather hazards possible, including hail, damaging winds and tornadoes.
