Conditions Improving Following Late Winter Blizzard

We haven’t seen much for snow the second half of this winter, but Mother Nature brought us a blizzard just a few days before the first official day of spring.
The blizzard moved in Sunday night, with several inches of snow and high winds – leading to some dangerous travel late last night into early this morning.
Delaware County Emergency Management Coordinator Mandy Bieber:
The “Travel Not Advised” recommendation for roads across eastern Iowa went into effect overnight and was lifted around 10 am. She says we are seeing some improvement as the day goes on.
Eastern Iowa has another chance of snow Tuesday night – but spring makes a return later this week.
Highs are forecasted to reach into the 60s Friday and Saturday.
