Dr. Kohl Returning to Manchester Chamber Ag Luncheon

The Manchester Chamber is hosting their annual Ag Appreciation Luncheon next week.

It will be held Tuesday, March 24th at the Delaware County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Manchester. Chamber Director Laura Holtz says it’s the 43rd year for the event, with Dr. David Kohl returning as this year’s keynote speaker. Dr. Kohl is Professor Emeritus at Virginia Tech, where he taught in the Department of Agriculture & Applied Economics. Dr. Kohl is a nationally respected speaker, author, and agricultural economist known for his dynamic presentations and deep understanding of global ag trends. 

Dr. Kohl will speak in the morning during a breakout session at 10 am – and then after lunch at 11:30 am, he’ll give the keynote address around noon. Holtz says his topics of discussion will be “Thriving During Economic Chaos” and “Future Proofing Your Business”.

The FFA Career Fair will take place in the morning, with the Chamber’s Friend of Ag Award to be presented as well. bringing together area producers, ag professionals, and community members for a day of insight, connection, and recognition of the agricultural community.

Tickets for next Tuesday’s Ag Appreciation Luncheon are 20 dollars. Today (March 17th) is the last day to get your tickets – you can get them by calling or stopping by the Manchester Chamber office or go to the Chamber website at manchesteriowa.org and click on “Events”.
