Farm Succession Planning Event in Peosta on Tuesday

Farmers and farm families may be interested in an event coming up next week.

If you’re wondering how to pass your farm onto the next generation someday – whether that’s years down the road or sooner rather than later – attending this event may help.

It’s called Farm Succession Planning and it’s being hosted by Women, Land & Legacy of Delaware and Dubuque counties. It’ll take place on Tuesday night in Peosta at the Peosta Community Center banquet room from 5 to 8 pm.

Coordinator Erin Erickson says they held a similar event last month in Dyersville and there was a lot of interest.

The Farm Succession Planning event is ideal for those who are thinking about handing over the reigns of the family farming operation to the next generation.

Just like the Dyersville event last month, Steve Bohr will lead the conversation.

Erickson says everyone is welcome.

Tuesday’s event runs from 5 to 8 pm, with the program to start around 6 pm. A food truck will be on site too. To RSVP, call 319-826-1132 or go to this event page on Facebook.
