Dr. Kohl Talks Economy & Trends at Manchester Ag Luncheon

The Manchester Chamber hosted their annual Ag Appreciation Luncheon on Tuesday.

It’s an opportunity for the community to come together, with farmers, ag business leaders and FFA students gathering for an event that celebrates agriculture with a career fair, meal, award presentation and speaker.

It was the 43rd year for the event – and every other year for the past 20+ years, Dr. David Kohl has returned as the guest speaker. Kohl, Professor Emeritus at Virginia Tech, is known for his keen insight into the agriculture industry that he has gained through extensive travel, research and involvement in ag businesses. 

Dr. Kohl held a morning breakout session to specifically talk about “Managing Through Economic Chaos”.

During his keynote address, Kohl discussed “Economic Mega Trends of Agriculture”.

Dr. Kohl also likes to throw in a little practical life advice.
