A Red Flag Warning is in effect for portions of eastern Iowa Saturday, including Delaware, Buchanan, Linn, Fayette and Clayton counties.
South-southwest winds gusting between 25 to 35 mph and very low relative humidity will combine to produce critical fire weather conditions late Saturday morning through the early evening.
Outdoor burning should be avoided. Caution should be used when operating outdoor equipment. Do not carelessly discard cigarettes.
