Delaware County Courthouse Prepping for Construction Project

Construction is ready to get underway on the Delaware County Courthouse project. 

Due to the onset of construction, the southeast parking lot of the Delaware County Courthouse will be closed to the public – it closed at 5:30 pm Tuesday and will remain closed for the duration of construction.

Those wishing to access courthouse offices are asked to use the angle parking along the west side of the courthouse. Alternative handicap accessible parking will be provided. 

The Delaware County Board of Supervisors has contracted with Merit Construction of Cedar Rapids to construct a 13,500 square foot addition to the Delaware County Courthouse and to renovate areas of the existing courthouse structure. 

An official groundbreaking will take place on Monday at 10:30 am in the east courthouse lawn.
