Comments from Hawks Head Coach Chris Harbaugh:

“The boys had an outstanding night at Decorah.  It was a fast track and we had personal bests throughout all areas of the meet.  This meet was a big confidence booster for our team, as we showed we can run with the best teams in the state.  It was awesome to see our team scoring in all areas of the meet, and finishing a close second to Decorah says a lot about the depth and trajectory of this team.  Excited for the second half of the outdoor season. Also, on Saturday we broke a school record in the 800 Sprint Medley Relay.  The group of Dylan Popp, Key’Sean Wilson, Emerson Smith, and Wesley Helle broke the previous record set in 2021 with a time of 1:36.96.”

At the Gordy Yuska WaHawk Relays hosted by Hudson with 9 schools there, Western Dubuque took 2nd to Cedar Fall 339-304. Independence came in 9th with 6.
