Big Mike’s Steakhouse Coming Home to Manchester

Big Mike’s Steakhouse is coming to Manchester.

Manchester native Mike Cole, who has found success with his restaurants in Alabama, is opening a location in the former Franklin Street Brewing Company downtown.

Cole says he’s excited to bring it home.

Cole graduated from West Delaware in 1988 and moved down south in 1991. He lives in Livingston, Alabama, and started Big Mike’s Steakhouse thirteen years ago.

But he says it was always a dream to do something at home.

Mike and Angie Corcoran, Roger and Diane Zearley, Aaron and Kelly Wulfekuhle and Mitch and Angie Peyton are partners with Big Mike’s on the Manchester location. Cole says they’re looking forward to bringing something special to the community.

They’ll be transforming the old brewery building into the steakhouse on the main floor, with lofts on the upper level. Work on both the restaurant and the lofts should be starting at the end of June, with hopes to open Big Mike’s Steakhouse in March 2027.

And Big Mike has a special on the menu to honor his mom and dad, Dick and Karen Cole, who live on Lake Delhi. It’s called The Dick & Karen – a 4 oz. fillet and skewer of shrimp with a side and salad – a dinner ideal for two to share that’s been popular with the snowbirds.
