Trucking Business Building Destroyed on Cascade’s Northwest Side

A business building and its contents were destroyed in a fire on the northwest edge of Cascade on Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly before 4 pm, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office along with fire departments from Cascade, Monticello, Farley, Bernard, and Dyersville responded to 951 Highway 136 for a report of a structure fire.

The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says upon arrival, the commercial building was found to be fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews were able to successfully extinguish the fire.

Green Truck Line Inc, Finzel Repair, and Noonan Trucking LLC were identified as the businesses operating out of the building. The building and contents, consisting of semi tractors and other semi tractor repair equipment, are considered a total loss. The total damage is estimated at approximately $1,000,000.

There were no injuries reported. The Sheriff’s Office says the cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature at this time.
