Survivor Convoy Kicking Off Midwest Pride In Your Ride

Midwest Pride In Your Ride is hosting their annual Survivor Convoy Kickoff on Thursday night – and you’re encouraged to cheer them on.
Five semis carrying five Delaware County cancer survivors will leave Manchester’s Riverfront Park around 6 pm. They’ll begin gathering at 5:30 pm. Everyone is invited to stop by to send them off or wave as they take East Main/Old 20 out of town.
This year’s Delaware County cancer survivors participating in Thursday’s convoy include Liz Heffernan, Jeff Larson, Sherilyn Cook, Frank Heims and Judy Ellingson, all of Manchester.
Their convoy will meet up in Earlville with five semis carrying five Dubuque County cancer survivors who will be leaving Dyersville around the same time. After traveling side by side down Earlville’s main street, they’ll head out together to Tri-State Raceway to kick off this weekend’s Midwest Pride In Your Ride – a fundraising event for the American Cancer Society.
The Delaware County unit of the American Cancer Society encourages spectators to be at the Manchester Whitewater Park, the main street of Earlville and Tri-State Raceway tonight to greet, speak with and encourage the cancer survivors.
