One person was airlifted and two others arrested after a UTV crash in Linn County on Saturday night.
The crash happened around 7:30 pm at 3869 North Center Point Road southeast of Center Point.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says upon arriving, emergency personnel found a UTV had rolled in a field. A passenger, 63-year old John Dedic of Garber, was taken by Lifeguard Air Ambulance to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for what was believed to be life-threatening injuries.
In an update released by the Sheriff’s Office on Monday, authorities say Dedic remains in serious condition at UIHC.
The driver, 60-year old Danny Perrin, and another passenger, 60-year old Terri Perrin, both of Center Point, have both been arrested. Danny Perrin is charged with Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense, Reckless Driving and Serious Injury by Vehicle. Terri Perrin was charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense.
The crash is still under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
