Manchester Dog Park Celebrating One Year Anniversary

The Manchester Dog Park is celebrating its one year anniversary.

For the past year, dogs have been able to roam and run freely at the dog park, which is located on city property near the city’s brush dump on South Brewer Street.

It was years of planning and fundraising, with some very determined committee members dedicated to making it a reality. Manchester resident and dog lover Jo Schreck led the efforts.

Committee member Tania Bradley says she’s also heard positive feedback since it opened.

Bradley says she was pleasantly surprised to see the dog park being used all year long.

The committee is looking into adding some new features to the Manchester Dog Park.

If you’d like to contribute to the Manchester Dog Park, donations are always welcome for upkeep and future projects. Donations can be made through the Manchester IA Dog Park Facebook page, the group’s account at Citizens State Bank or through several of the fundraisers they’ll be holding this year.
