KMCH SPORTS: Morris named NFHS Iowa State Bowling Coach of the Year

Nine-year West Delaware Boys Bowling coach Bob Morris has been honored as the National Federation of High School Sports Iowa High School Association’s 2024-2005 State Boys Bowling Coach of the Year. The award is given annually a year after the season was completed. Morris led this past years’ edition of the Hawks to the program’s 3rd state title. His 2nd as the head coach and the third one he has been a part of after being an assistant for John Chapman when the Hawks won the first championship back in 2017. Morris was presented the NFHS/IHSAA plaque from West Delaware Athletics Director Matt Weis yesterday afternoon inside the library of WDHS during a special presentation that included his assistant- WD Girls head bowling coach and wife, Sue Morris. Also the couples children and their families were on hand as well.
