GIRLS and BOYS TRACK & FIELD-
Coed State Qualifying Meets took place around the state last night.
In Class 3A-
At DeWitt, the Western Dubuque girls took first place with 159 points, West Delaware was 3rd with 112. The Bobcat Boys also won the title with 192 points, West Delaware was 5th with 69.
At Clear Lake, Decorah won the girls side with 202 points, Independence 6th with 65. The host Clear Lake Boys claimed first with 172, Indee 8th with 23.
In 2A-
At Hudson, the Monticello Girls took 1st with 120 points, Anamosa 9th with 48, Cascade with 47 was 10th. The Monticello Boys finished 5th with 65, Cascade 8th with 50 and Anamosa 11th with 34.
In 1A-
At Edgewood, the host Vikings won the girls side with 149 points, Starmont was 8th with 43. The Ed-Co Boys were 5th with 64 and Starmont 8th with 35.
At Lisbon, the Maquoketa Valley Girls took the crown with 153 points, North Linn 4th with 70, and East Buchanan 6th with 50. The North Linn Boys finished 5th with 58, Maq. Valley was 6th with 57 and East Buc 10th with 27.
The qualifiers in each event will be released by the IGHSAU and IHSAA later today. The 2026 State Meet will be held at Drake Stadium in Des Moines starting next Thursday morning at 9am and ending late Saturday afternoon.
GIRLS GOLF-
The postseason begins today with Class 1A and 2A first round regionals with the top teams and individuals moving on to the Regional Final next Wednesday.
In 1A-
East Buchanan hosts at the Buffalo Creek Golf Course, Beckman Catholic, Ed-Co and Maquoketa Valley will be there. Starmont will be in Tripoli. North Linn heads to the Wapsi Oaks Golf Course hosted by Calamus-Wheatland.
In 2A-
Anamosa welcomes in seven other schools at Fawn Creek Country Club including Cascade and Monticello.
