KMCH SPORTS: Postseason Golf and Soccer/Softball and Baseball playing schedule starts tonight

GIRLS GOLF-

Coverage area teams and individuals on Friday qualified for Regional Finals coming up this Wednesday:

In Class 1A-

Starmont, Beckman Catholic, East Buchanan and Ed-Co moving on to the Silver Springs Country Club in Region 4. Individually, Olivia Begle of MV.

In 2A-

Anamosa had two individuals qualify, Sophie Sander and Olivia Miller. They’ll compete at the Region 4 Final at the South Hills Golf Course in Waterloo.

BOYS GOLF-

Districts Meets will take place today with first swings beginning at 10am.

Class 3A-

West Delaware and Independence will be at the Gardner Golf Course in Marion.

2A-

Cascade, Monticello as teams and Beckman Catholic’s Jacob Wegmann will be at the Heritage Oaks Course near Mediapolis.

Maquoketa Valley’s Eli Dougherty will be at Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo.

1A-

North Linn and Central City will be at the Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge. Starmont and East Buchanan will be up at the Rice Lake Course near Lake Mills along with Dayce Arthur of Ed-Co.

BOYS SOCCER-

The postseason begins with first round play tonight:

Class 2A-

West Delaware travels to face Dubuque Wahlert Catholic at the Rock Bowl on the campus of Loras College starting at 6pm.

Anamosa heads east to Maquoketa with a 7 pm first kick.

1A-

Cascade hosts Clinton Prince of Peace at 5pm.

Monticello is in West Branch at 7pm.

Beckman Catholic will entertain Clayton Ridge at 7:30pm.

SOFTBALL-

New this season, teams will be able to start their competition schedule for real as early as they ever have been allowed to with the first games around the state tonight.

In the coverage area-

Starmont hosts Sumner-Fredericksburg at 7:15pm

Baseball-

Maquoketa Valley will welcome in East Buchanan to Delhi starting right off with Tri-Rivers Conference play, a doubleheader that begins at 4pm.

Western Dubuque will have Cedar Jefferson at home in Farley with a 5pm dh start.

Beckman Catholic will host Monticello at Jenk Field in Dyersville beginning at 5pm for game 1.

Starmont travels to Independence for a 7:30pm varsity start.
