Greeley Hosting Ribbon Cutting for New Community Garden

Greeley is creating its own community garden – and a ribbon cutting is planned this Saturday to celebrate.

Greeley native Linda (Loecke) Mayo says she wanted to do something with a vacant lot on Front Street that has ties to her family.

She says the garden is truly becoming a community garden in every sense of the word as visions for the project unfold.

Mayo says they’re going to try to do some seasonal events with the Greeley community garden.

Everyone is welcome to the ribbon cutting on Saturday, with some activities too.

Saturday’s ribbon cutting for the Greeley community garden runs from 1 to 4 pm.
