CSB Donates to Greeley Community Garden Project

Community Savings Bank recently donated $1,000 to the Greeley Community Garden project.
The Greeley Community Garden is located in the heart of Greeley. Greeley native Linda (Loecke) Mayo purchased the property and placed it into Greeley Community, LLC. From there, she created the non-profit organization and assembled a board of directors consisting of Tom Becker, John Donovan, Kevin Miller, and herself.
The mission of the garden is to grow food, relationships and opportunities. Community members will have the opportunity to assist with maintaining the garden and pick vegetables and fruits to enjoy themselves. Volunteers have planted flowers, apple trees, pear trees, plum trees and an array of vegetables. They’ve also built an area of beehives.
“Community Savings Bank is proud to support a project that brings people together, promotes sustainability, and helps our community continue to grow,” said Luke Brady, President of Community Savings Bank. “”This community garden represents growth in every sense of the word, and we’re grateful to play a small part in helping it flourish.”
