Senator Grassley Visits Winthrop Business

U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley was in Winthrop on Wednesday morning.

Grassley held a meeting with employees at Wieland & Sons Lumber Co. The visit was part of the longtime senator’s annual 99 county meetings across Iowa. The group discussed a range of topics, including trade with China, the SAVE America Act, pharmacy benefit managers, the Farm Bill and E15. 

Wieland & Sons Lumber Co. has been operated by three generations of Wielands. Grassley says he enjoyed witnessing how this local business is providing both economic opportunities and high-quality services for their community.
