Two people were injured in a collision in Linn County on Monday afternoon.
The accident happened around 2:30 pm at East Post Road and Lakeside Road in the Marion area. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says a car heading north on East Post Road failed to stop from a safe and assured distance and rear-ended a SUV.
The driver of the SUV, 30-year old Alexandria Thumma of Anamosa, was taken to a local hospital by personal transportation for minor injuries. The driver of the car, 31-year old Gavin Williams of Cedar Rapids, was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
