KMCH SPORTS: Results from Thursday 5/28

SOFTBALL-
West Delaware swept their first WaMaC Conference opponent in Van Horne taking down Benton Community, winning 6-0 and 16-8.
North Linn topped Calamus – Wheatland 15-3 and 19-1.
Independence was shutout by Williamsburg 12-0 and 15-0.
Ed-Co beat Midland twice 11-0.
Anamosa was swept by Maquoketa 10-5 and 9-5.
Cascade split with Northeast, winning 13-7 before falling 13-11.
BASEBALL-
West Delaware lost to Waverly-Shell Rock 15-3 and 9-4.
North Linn shutout Cal-Wheat 10-0.
East Buchanan was beaten by Marquette Catholic 11-8.
Starmont clobbered Easton Valley 14-1.
Maquoketa Valley hammered Clinton Prince of Peace 22-1.
Ed-Co was better than Midland 7-1.
Beckman Catholic took two from Camanche 15-0 and 13-4.
Anamosa lost both to Maquoketa 10-5 and 17-16.
Cascade took two from Northeast 14-0 and 8-3.

GIRLS SOCCER-
In postseason play, Beckman Catholic blanked Bellevue 8-0.
Western Dubuque nipped Decorah 3-2.
Independence shutout Clinton 3-0.
Anamosa blanked by Vinton-Shellsburg 10-0.
GIRLS STATE GOLF-
In Class 1A in Boone, East Buchanan’s Piper Reck is 11th, with an 84, sitting 12 over heading into day 2. Maggie Domeyer of Beckman Catholic is 28th, with a 90 + 18.
In 4A- Western Dubuque is 6thwith a 345 sitting 65 over.
