Fire Destroys Peosta Home

Fire has destroyed a home in Peosta. 

Firefighters and emergency personnel were called to 10764 Cedar Ridge Court around 3 am Sunday. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed. The occupants were able to safely exit. 

The home is considered a total loss, with an estimated $500,000 in damage. 

Along with the Sheriff’s Office, fire departments from Epworth, Asbury, Farley and Centralia/Peosta all responded to the scene, along with Epworth EMS and Peosta Police.

At this time, the Sheriff’s Office says the cause of the fire is unknown, but does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
