Republican Primary Race for Delaware County Supervisor

The June Primary is Tuesday. And on the local level, there is just one contested race in Delaware County.

That’s the Republican Primary for Delaware County Supervisor between incumbent Shirley Helmrichs and challenger Toby Bender.

Shirley Helmrichs grew up in Delaware County.

Helmrichs has served as County Supervisor since the late 1990’s and she says she is ready to serve another term..

If she is re-elected, Helmrichs has several priorities and goals.

Helmrichs is being challenged for the Delaware County Supervisor’s seat by Hopkinton resident Toby Bender.

Bender says he decided to run for County Supervisor to get more involved in the community.

Bender has several priorities if he wins election.

You do not have to live in the district they represent to vote in this race. Tuesday’s winner of the Republican Primary for Delaware County Supervisor is not expected to face a Democratic opponent in November as no Democratic candidates have filed.

Polls will be open in Tuesday’s Primary from 7 am to 8 pm.
