KMCH SPORTS: Results from Monday 6/1

SOFTBALL-
West Delaware swept Center Point- Urbana last night on Sill Field, winning 8-0 in 5 innings and 6-5 in walk-off fashion in the bottom of the 7th in the nightcap. The Hawks improved their mark to 5-0.
Independence split with Solon, taking game one 6-4 and falling in the 2nd game 7-2.
Ed-Co swept Starmont 14-0 and 4-3.
North Linn blanked East Buchanan 8-0 and 17-0.
BASEBALL-
The Hawks of West Delaware took two from CP-U 6-5 and 13-0 in 5 innings.
Independence fell in two to Solon, 8-4 and 2-1.
Starmont took care of Ed-Co 15-0 and 19-2.
North Linn and East Buchanan split with the Lynx claiming game 1, 2-1 in 9 innings with the Bucs taking game 2, 5-4.
Maquoketa Valley got past Maquoketa 10-6.
Western Dubuque took a pair from Cedar Rapids Kennedy 18-7 and 6-1.
GIRLS SOCCER-
Regional semifinals take place tonight with 7pm first kicks with the winners advancing to regional finals on Thursday night.
In 1A-
Beckman Catholic hosts Dike-New Hartford in region 8.
In 2A-
Region 1 has Independence traveling to DeWitt and Western Dubuque heading up to Waverly-Shell Rock.
GIRLS & BOYS GOLF-
The 2nd annual Iowa High School Golf Showcase will held at the Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown today starting at 9am. The Showcase put on by the Johnston Golf Foundation features 96 of the best golfers in the state, 48 girls and 48 boys.
