Dyersville Hosting Summer Farm Toy Show

Dyersville is hosting the annual Summer Farm Toy Show this weekend.

The show, which attracts farm toy collectors from across the country, creates a busy vibe in the community of four thousand residents. The Summer Farm Toy Show will run Saturday from 9 to 5 and Sunday from 9 to 1 in Dyersville, with this year’s show taking place at two locations at the National Farm Toy Museum and Beckman Catholic High School, both right off Highway 20 on the south end of town.

Dyersville Chamber Director Karla Thompson says you can get in early to the show if you’re willing to pay a little extra for floor rights.

And they’re offering something new this year – a Family Day on Sunday – with a discounted rate.

The Summer Farm Toy Show’s Tractor Ride will be traveling 54 miles through northern Delaware County on Friday, making a round trip from Dyersville to Edgewood and back.

Tractors will begin lining up at 7 am Friday at the Beckman Catholic High School parking lot, with a ride meeting at 8 am. The ride is limited to the first one hundred registered tractors. If you’re interested in joining the ride, you can sign up by calling the National Farm Toy Museum at 875-2727.

And the tractor parade takes place on Saturday night starting at Beckman at 6:30 pm and heading uptown, taking 6th Street Southeast to 1st Avenue East. All tractors are welcome to join, with line-up at 5:30 pm at Beckman.
